9. Leadership styles

Like any person generally, leaders bring different qualities, character and styles into their leadership, their companies and work they do.
There are different leadership styles that stand out and these include:
- Leader - someone who sees a direction and is capable of taking the team there.
- Communicator - collects and spreads information according to roles in the organization
- Coach - chooses the right people and develops them to achieve the targets
- Mentor - someone who is capable of mentoring and this is especially important in long term projects with small teams
- Change agent - brings innovative solution
- Power broker - uses power in relevant situations and sees whether new risks appear

In essence all great leaders have to have a combination of these qualities for the effective leadership.
I think that any leader should be capable of leading the team towards the vision and goal, be innovative, be able to coach and to mentor, and be capable of effective communication. Also any leader should be capable of using power and make strong decisions in the times when it is necessary.
I also find that great leaders of today do possess all these qualities to a certain extent, but usually some quality is more evident or leading.

I would like to bring two examples of famous leaders:
- Elon Musk - investor, engineer and investor the CEO of Tesla, Space X, co-founder of Pay Pal.
I think that the most outstanding leadership quality of Elon Musk is "Leader" and "Change Agent". He is capable of making everyone believe in his vision and not only bring his team towards success, but also set the bar in the industry. He is persistant, driven and a visionary.

- Larry Page - computer scientist and co-founder of Google.
Again Larry Page combines all the greatest leadership qualities but the most outstanding in my opinion are qualities of a "Leader" and a "Communicator". Larry Page is no doubt a visionary and an innovator but he is also known for making strong relationships in the company among employees and creating a happy, family-like atmosphere, that results in a higher productivity, openess and collaboration.
